Altoona, Florida

5 Hours, an RV with Goats & a Wedding at Lakeview Gardens

Some weddings feel like assignments.

Others feel like adventures.

Justin & Emily’s wedding was the second one.

I packed my gear and drove five hours north for their Lakeview Gardens wedding. Instead of a hotel, I stayed overnight in an RV on a nearby farm. There were fresh eggs, food to feed the chickens, and complete stillness.

The next morning, I woke up to goats outside my door LOL

Then I headed to Lakeview Gardens in Umatilla, Florida (a newer Central Florida wedding venue, 10 minutes from Altoona, Florida).

The venue offers open skies, soft natural light, elegant garden-style ceremony space, and clean reception design that photographs beautifully. As a Florida wedding filmmaker, lighting and layout are everything and Lakeview Gardens gives you both.

Justin & Emily met at a Jonas Brothers concert and shortly after knew they were meant to get married. You could see it in the way they looked at each other.

This is why I love destination weddings in Florida.

The drive. The unexpected stays. The quiet mornings. The new venues. The stories that start in one place and lead somewhere completely different.

If you're planning a Lakeview Gardens wedding in Umatilla, Florida, or bringing me somewhere new, just know I’m always down for the adventure.

xoxo,
Joyce 💕
